 Registration for Winter Camp is Open! 

Calling all 3rd thru 8th Graders to Winter Camp this February 7 – 9!  We’ll stay in our cozy winterized facilities and keep toasty by the woodstoves while we enjoy camp’s traditional activities like crafts, singing, nature, Bible study, group games, morning watch, vespers, and delicious family-style meals.  But, we’ll also have all kinds of extra special winter fun including a mid-winter celebration (complete with a lost-and-found sock snowball fight!), snow-tubing at a nearby resort, hot chocolate, and a movie night with popcorn and snacks! Cabin Fever Family Night 

February 29th   Cure your “Cabin Fever” this winter (and celebrate Leap Year!) with an evening at camp! Everyone (singles, couples, families, youth groups, campers, staff, volunteers, young and old) is invited for this FREE event with your camp “family!” We’ll gather from 4:30-7:30pm for a meal, games and puzzles, and an indoor campfire complete with singing, stories, and scripture. We’re providing a soup and bread supper perfect for a midwinter evening plus carry-in snacks and finger foods (please bring something to share!).

     To help with our planning and preparation, please RSVP to the camp office (540-269-2741 or by Thursday, February 20th to let us know you’re coming and how many you’ll have.

Women’s Retreat “Treasured”

Friday, March 20 – Saturday, March 21

For: Women (age 16+); Cost: $75

Get ready to be bedazzled at Brethren Woods on March 20th-21st for our “Treasured” Women’s Retreat! During this overnight retreat experience, women (age 16+) will take a walk in the light of God’s Word together to discover the truth of Deuteronomy 14:3 that proclaims:

“The LORD has chosen you to be a people for His treasured possession.”

     Arrive any time after 4pm on Friday. Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm and our first session starts at 6:30pm. Our time together will end around 4pm on Saturday.  Rev. Mandy North is this year’s speaker. Mandy pastors the Manassas Church of the Brethren and lives in Manassas, VA with her husband, Sean, and 10-year-old twins, Tyler and Kailea.

Summer camp

Registration for summer camp is open.  Visit to see camps, dates, and a link to register. There are also brochures available on the narthex table.  Register soon to get your first choice of your favorite camp and date.  When you register for the week you want to attend, pay the registration fee and then Linville Creek will pay the remaining cost of the camp for all who are members or regular attenders.  Talk to Alice Bair, camp representative for more details.

Third Thursday of Each Month

Camp’s ministry happens all throughout the year, so we need volunteer help every month to keep up with our grounds, facilities, and programs.  You can join us every month on the third Thursday for our Helping Hands Workday.  There are always indoor and outdoor projects available for all kinds of skills, so there’s sure to be something that’s just right for you!  Just let us know what you’re interested in when you call ahead to sign-up.  This workday is perfect for retired folks, homeschool families, or others with flexible weekdays.  See you there!  Call to let them know you’re coming & the type of work you’d like to do.
